Matakana and nearby districts are a
providential paradise. But there is always something needed with the call to the
community for assistance. The local Hospice, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter
Foundation, the Matakana Volunteer Fire Station, are some of the organisations
in which major events like the Catwalk Arts, Warkworth Scarecrow Festival and
the Annual Matakana Music Charity Concerts, raise funds for these appeals.
